With this blog becoming increasingly bookish, as I reignite my love of reading, and of all things paper and ink, I want to share my current tbr pile.
Sitting quietly waiting to be read is an eclectic collection of brightly coloured books with varying themes and styles. Some that have been sitting on my shelf for many years, others that have only come to live with me in recent weeks. All (hopefully) possessing some kind of wonderful to share.
Milkman by Anna Burns and The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood – both recent charity shop finds.
Adultery by Paulo Coelho – a purchase from a few years ago that has languished on the shelf, pushed aside by each new book that arrives. I really am planning on reading this one one day soon.
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott – a childhood favourite I’m desperate to read again.
The Sound of Waves by Yukio Mishima – a book recommended (and lent) to me by my sister.
The Art of Happiness by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Howard C. Cutler – an inspirational spiritual guide to practical happiness; further ‘research’ for my current journey and a charity shop find.
Where’d you go Bernadette by Maria Semple – one from my Goodreads ‘want to read’ list.
The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by John Gottman Ph.D. – one I bought because I have seen good things written about the author and you can never learn too much about having a successful marriage.
And that’s that – my current tbr.
What’s in your current tbr pile? I’d love to hear from you – comment to share what you are reading or what is waiting on your shelves.
