Weekly bookish wrap up

Starting a new weekly post…a post that will usually be published on a Friday but for this first time will be on a Monday. A post to share all the bookish things I have been up to during the week….the books I’ve read; the books I purchased; the books I’m currently reading and anything else remotely bookish and worth sharing. A simple post to check in with bookish friends and hear about their bookish week.

Leave your weekly wrap ups in the comments. I’d love to read them.

For me, this week has been the most bookish one this year.

Usually I read between 4-7 books per month but just in this past week I have read 4 books and am in the middle of 2 others. I’ve purchased 2 books (on an impromptu shopping trip with my sister) and have spent many hours curled up on the couch; reading glasses on; completely absorbed by fictional worlds.

Books read:

  • Where’d you go Bernadette? by Maria Semple – 4/5 (Review to come)
  • The Sound of Waves by Yukio Mishima – 2/5
  • Milkman by Anna Burns – 2/5 (Review to come)
  • 99% Mine by Sally Thorne – 4/5

Books purchased:

  • Flatshare by Beth O’Leary
  • City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert

Currently reading:

  • Flatshare by Beth O’Leary
  • Becoming by Michelle Obama (audiobook)

Bookish posts:

There haven’t actually been any….I have been so fully committed to reading that I forgot to write….woops!….hopefully next weekly wrap up.

What are you reading and writing about? I’d love to hear about your bookish week.
