Here’s a little something I’m excited to have a go at – The Reading Rush Readathon, formerly BookTubeAthon, which runs from 22nd – 28th July. Yep that’s right…it’s this week. This will be my first ever readathon so you know…no pressure…we’ll just have to see how this goes.
Below is the list of challenges and the books I am hoping to read. I plan on being a bit tricky and doubling/tripling up because 7 books in a week is not in the realms of possibility for me.
Read a book with purple on the cover: The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon – Finding a book with purple on the cover that I was interested in reading was difficult. In the end I chose this one because I like the string art on the front and I could use it as the movie adaptation too.
Read a book in the same spot the entire time: The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen – I’m so excited to read this one – it definitely seems like something I can read in one sitting in the sunny spot of the couch.
Read a book you meant to read last year: Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng – This book has been on my ‘want to read’ list since reading Little Fires Everywhere. I’ve read so many great things about it.
Read an author’s first book: See what I did there? One book, two…actually three challenges.
Read a book with a non-human main character: The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa – because what kind of booklover would I be if I didn’t also love cats?
Pick a book that has five or more words in the title: and again…
Read and watch a book to movie adaptation: The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon – a good excuse to watch this with my daughter on family movie night.
Are you joining the readathon? Add me as a friend on The Reading Rush Website – I’d love to see what books are on your readathon tbr and maybe we can cheer each other on. Happy Reading!
