Weekly bookish wrap up: 15/9/2019

I hope you’ve had a wonderfully bookish week. I find myself alternating between being really bookish and reading heaps and struggling to pick up a book. There’s no middle ground at the moment. Maybe it’s the books I am reading…and maybe it’s just my usual cycle of anxiety and…whatever the opposite of anxiety is. I’m definitely going through a rough patch in general atm. So I hope your week has been a lot better than mine.

I have been reading though…a little…and I did manage to finish a book.

Books read:

Gravity is the Thing by Jaclyn Moriarty ★★★ – I’m just going to say that it took me 250 pages to get into this book. I’m not sure if that’s a statement about the book itself …or about my mindset… but I was pretty pleased when I finally finished reading it. It was an odd book most of the way through with a fairly predictable ending and wrapping up of events. Better in the reviews than in actuality.

Currently reading:

It’s Not me It’s You by Mhairi McFarlane – still listening to this on Audible with only about an hour to go….and still enjoying it….although possibly not as much as I enjoyed Don’t You Forget About Me. I’ll let you know once I get to the end.

Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes – I devoured 100 pages before breakfast this morning then had to put it down to actually do the things I have to do…looking forward to curling up on the couch with it again tonight. Really craving a fun, romantic and most importantly quick read.

What are you reading tonight?
