Here’s a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer 3 questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you will read next?
Link your blog in the comments at Sam’s weekly post and then go blog hopping to find out what others are reading.
Here’s my 3 W’s:
Currently reading:
I’m still reading…rereading…. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, savouring every word of what is one of my childhood favourites. I’m hoping to get it read in time for the release of the new movie adaptation this month.
And I have just started Be Mighty by Jill A. Stoddard PhD; a NetGalley eARC.
Recently finished:
Since my last WWW Wednesday I’ve read 3 books of varying degrees of likeability. The first, The Confession by Jessie Burton was a 4 star read that I bought purely for the gorgeous cover but which proved to be just as beautiful on the inside. I love when that happens. Full review here.
The second, Quiet by Susan Cain ended up being disappointing and was actually shelved in my ‘better in the reviews’ list on Goodreads. Unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to the hype. I only gave it 3 stars – those were for the few chapters that, while not offering any new information were at least interesting.
Thirdly, The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes was a definite 5 star read. I loved this book so much…as I was listening it reminded me of Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens in writing style; taking me to an entirely different place and time. Perfect as an audiobook; the narration was brilliant; the story captivating, emotional and uplifting.
Up next:
I want to read something Christmassy before the day is upon us but I’m not sure what to read….any suggestions/recommendations?
What are your 3 W’s this Wednesday? Let me know below and….. Happy reading!

That cover of Little Women is so beautiful and of course it does have a lovely Christmas scene.

You are the SECOND person that I’ve seen this morning who is rereading Little Women. That’s it. I’m going for it! Thanks for the nudge 🙂
I recently read Quiet as well and, like you, gave it 3 stars. It was good, but it seemed to lack a little something. It was hard to put my finger on it.
Lovely blog! It looks like we have similar interests in books, so I’m happy to have found you 🙂

I am a pure introvert and was hopeful for Quiet – I think I may skip it now. That is a great cover – may pick up The Confession. Here’s mine: https://www.autismfamilypower.com/www-wednesday-12-18-19/

It’s really great to find new favorite books, but I think nothing goes above re-reading a favorite and still enjoying every second of it. I’m glad you’re reading some great things!
