Hey there bookish peeps!!!
How do you keep track of your TBR pile?
At the moment I keep track on Goodreads but I am wanting to create a bookish bullet journal in the very near future to keep track of anything bookish, including my TBR pile.
Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?
An almost equal number of each.
How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?
It depends if I have a deadline to read something. If so, that takes priority. But if not, I tend to pick by mood….and/or prettiness of cover…. 😉
A book that’s been on your TBR the longest.
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. It’s actually a reread that I have been putting off for years.
A book that you recently added to your TBR.
The Silent Treatment by Abbi Greaves – an eARC from NetGalley.
A book on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover.
I don’t think there are any. While I’m often tempted by a beautiful cover….and most of the books on my TBR do have beautiful covers….if I’m going to collect a book is has to offer more than just looking good – an author I love, my favourite genre, a lesson to be learnt, a laugh, some romance……
A book on your TBR that you NEVER plan on actually reading.
The Art of Happiness by Dalai Lama XIV….as much as I would love to read this…I can’t actually see this happening anytime in the near future or ever. It’s not so much that it is a biggish book size wise, but content wise it will take deep and enduring concentration…something I just can’t muster at the moment.
An unpublished book on your TBR that you are excited about.
The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver.
A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read but you.
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. I am actually busting to read this but feel intimidated by it at the same time. It’s HUGE!!! It’s not my usual genre, I’m scared it won’t live up to the hype…and did I mention it’s HUGE!!!….498 pages.
A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. This book is EVERYWHERE!!!
A book on your TBR that you are just dying to read.
The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman…one of my favourite authors and a book I found purely by accident (or maybe it was serendipity) when I was travelling.
The number of books on your Goodreads TBR shelf.
There are only 8 books on my TBR shelf at the moment….after a final mad dash at the end of last year to read as much of my TBR pile as I could before purchasing any more….my want to read shelf is a different matter entirely; with me adding new books with increasing regularity.
So there you go. I guess now is where I nominate others to have a go at this tag…but please don’t feel pressured to participate.
If I don’t tag you and you still want to have a go, feel free and don’t forget to link back to this post. I would love to see your answers. 🙂
