Welcome to WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words.
What do you have to do to join in?
It’s pretty simple….all you have to do is answer the 3 W’s:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you will read next?
Link your blog in the comments at Sam’s weekly post and then go blog hopping to find out what others are reading.
Here’s my 3 W’s for this week:
Currently reading:
After finishing The Starless Sea I needed to pick up a couple of simple reads…books I could just enjoy without any confusion or deep thought….something a little romantic and something uplifting.
- The One Plus One by Jojo Moyes
- Girl, wash your face by Rachel Hollis (audiobook)
Recently finished:
I’m so sad to say that The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern was such a disappointing read…I really struggled to read it. It presented as such a promising novel but fell short in so many ways…actually making me second guess my love for The Night Circus.
Happily my prediction response to Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid were not wrong. I finished it today; after listening to it double time during my lunchbreaks; much to the amusement of my colleagues who find it hilarious when a ‘disney character’ reads my book to me in that delightful high pitched voice. Such a fantastic read….completely entertaining and enjoyable.
Up next:
Still have the same couple of ARCs that need to be read – The Silent Treatment by Abbie Greaves and The Lonely Fajita by Abigail Mann. Hopefully next week I’ll get them both at least started.
Happy reading!

Enjoy your reading!

Oh, The one plus one was the one book by Jojo Moyes I enjoyed most. I think it’s a little different from the rest since the others are often set in the present and the past and I never quite got into that. I didn’t find it too lighthearted though. How far are you so far and do you like it?

Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I’m about halfway …it’s definitely not lighthearted but its not a struggle either. I’m really quite liking it. 🙂

The Starless Sea seems to be a marmite book – some people seem to absolutely love it and others really don’t like it. I am sure I will read it at some point. I did like The Night Circus, but not as much as a lot of other people seem to!

I hope when you read it you are one of those who likes it …clearly I am not a marmite fan 😉

What a shame that The Starless Sea didn’t work out for you! I had my own disappointing read this week, so I feel you on needing something a bit lighter and more enjoyable. Hope your next reads work out better for you!
