Weekly bookish wrap up – 16/2/2020

Happy Sunday bookish peeps!!!

Hope you’ve had a wonderfully bookish week full of reading and writing.

I’ve been writing lots but none of it fun stuff…..lots of study; trying to finish my Diploma by March……and a full afternoon of emails, budgeting and general household organisational stuff. I’ve even begun to create my own spreadsheets to track my books and reading; getting my son to remind me again how Excel works. So I feel like I’ve had no down time this week. Don’t get me wrong…I love being super organised but it can be so time consuming.

Still I did manage to read 2.5 books.

Books read:

Two audiobooks – both 4 stars:

  • Such A Fun Age by Kiley Reid – I admit I got caught up in the hype and I’m so glad that I did….this book is everywhere…and deservedly so. More than just an entertaining read..and it definitely is….this book is a compelling look at race and class; the boundaries and the relationships between employers/employees. I can certainly see what made it a Reese Witherspoon bookclub pick.
  • Girl, wash your face by Rachel Hollis – There have been some very not so nice reviews of this book but to be honest I don’t care. I enjoyed it, especially on audiobook. It was uplifting, made me laugh and I read it in a day. Like listening to a super supportive girlfriend. Pretty happy with that!

Currently reading:

  • The One Plus One by Jojo Moyes
  • Regretting you by Colleen Hoover
