WWW Wednesday 17/6/2020

Welcome to WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words.

What do you have to do to join in?

It’s pretty simple….all you have to do is answer the 3 W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you will read next?

Link your blog in the comments at Sam’s weekly post and then go blog hopping to find out what others are reading.

Happy bookish Wednesday!!!

It’s halfway through June and not much reading is getting done at my place…I am completely preoccupied with wanting to purchase land to build a house on….and Pinteresting all the lovely decorating choices. It’s almost a full-time job.

Hope your June reading is going better than mine.

Anyway…here’s my 3 Ws:

Currently reading:

The Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work by John M. Gottman PhD. ….not because my marriage is in trouble …pretty poor time to be making big purchases….but because it’s really quite interesting, given that hubby and I were married and divorced before we met each other.

Recently finished:

  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (Audiobook) ⭐⭐⭐ – yes I know this is a classic but I really struggled. I don’t think I’m a Jane Austen kinda girl.
  • Pretending by Holly Bourne (Audiobook) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – completely not the light, fluffy rom-com I was expecting or hoping for but I actually really enjoyed it. It was a bit confronting in places and had a fairly predictable ending but was still worth the read….just maybe not without earphones in the work lunchroom…

Up next:

I’m so excited to read these two books after having them recommended so glowingly by bookish friends. Hoping they can get me back into a reading kind of mood.

Have you read either of them?

Feel free to share your 3Ws post link in the comments below.
