Monthly bookish wrap up: March 2023

With the beginning of new employment and a new direction in my career, one towards a leadership role, my reading has definitely slowed down this month. From 10 books last month to only 4 this month. Most were audiobooks, so read in the car travelling to and from work.

Books read:

  • The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins (Audiobook) ★★★★
  • The Mis-Arrangement of Sana Saeed by Noreen Mughees (ARC) ★★★
  • The Spare by Prince Harry The Duke of Sussex (Audiobook) ★★★★
  • Creative Visualisation by Shakti Gawain (Audiobook) ★★★

Favourite read: The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins

Highly recommend listening to this on audiobook. While the male narrator was terrible both the females were absolutely amazing, making up for it.

I’ve seen lots of people saying how predictable the story was, being that it is a retelling of Jane Eyre, but I’ve never read Jane Eyre so that was not a problem for me.

Least favourite read: Creative Visualisation by Shakti Gawain

This was a reread of a book read in my early twenties…such a long time ago. Still a good introduction to visualisation and affirmation. A quick read and a valuable book for on my spiritual bookshelf.
