WWW Wednesday: 19th April 2023

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. A weekly meme where all you have to do is answers the following three w’s:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Although this is a weekly meme I have decided to join in fortnightly to really show reading progress. I find that some weeks I just don’t read enough to be able to write a weekly WWW post.

Currently reading:

Really Good, Actually by Monica Heisey (Audiobook) – From the reviews this book has not been for everyone and actually not for most but I am really enjoying it, especially on audio. It’s very much just one big brain dump from the protagonist Maggie – a delusional woman going through a particularly painful divorce and not really coping all that well. Considering the subject matter – marriage break ups are not something to laugh at – I find Maggie’s rambling quite comical and have often LOL’d while driving to work, listening.

Super Bloom by Megan Tady (ARC) – I’m only 39% in and have kinda come to a standstill, preferring to do other things than finish it. I’m not sure if that is more about the book or just that I am super busy atm. I do hope I can get back into it soon.

The 7 Chakra Crystals: A guide to find your balance and peace by Luca Apicella (ARC) – Another ARC I’m struggling to find time to read unfortunately.

Light is the New Black by Rebecca Campbell (Paperback) – I’m just going to stop adding this to the list because I’ll be reading it for the foreseeable future. I really am loving it but its the kind of book that you read a few pages of and let them settle into you soul before reading more.

Recently finished:

Wild Things by Laura Kay (ARC) – ★★★

What next:

I haven’t bought an actual physical paperback this year…until now. I purchased The Paper Palace by Miranda Cowley Heller and am looking forward to being able to open it up, smell the pages and read curled up on the couch as the colder weather starts to arrive.

Have you read it? What did you think?
