Stacking the Shelves: November 2024

Hosted by Reading Reality, Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, whether they be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, ARCs, gifts and of course e-books! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

Let’s take a peek at what I purchased, downloaded or received in November.

Physical books:

I purchased 2 non-fiction and 1 fiction this month as physical books. With a real focus on my own wellbeing at the moment, my non-fiction reading has gone down a self-help/health pathway which I am enjoying. I’ve been doing additional research as I read and annotating these books so that I get the most out of them possible.

  • Cleopatra and Frankenstein by Coco Mellors
  • Powerful by Maisie Hill
  • The Menopause Brain by Lisa Mosconi PhD

Audiobooks:

I’ve been getting through an audiobook per week recently, downloading a new one as soon as one ends. This month I’ve downloaded 4.

  • The Rom-Commers by Katherine Center
  • The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young
  • Spells for Forgetting by Adrienne Young
  • Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez

E-books:

And I downloaded another 3 books on my Kindle app. A couple are just novellas which I can read in a sitting.

  • Last Dance, Second Chance by Emma Bennet
  • Merry Ever After by Tessa Bailey
  • Cruel Winter with You by Ali Hazelwood

ARCs:

And I have received 2 ARCs. I guess I am no longer avoiding the NetGalley catalogue.

  • The Sirens by Emilia Hart
  • Sing Me Home to Carolina by Joy Calloway

What books did you add to your shelves this month? What are you looking forward to reading soon?
