Happy Sunday bookish peeps!
Actually, it’s Monday here in Australia and a long weekend. The weather has been amazing …storms all retreated and power restored.
I’ve been stretching my creative muscles and getting ready for the Disney Cruise with my daughter. There’s 11 more sleeps until we go and we’ve been creating up a storm. I used my Cricut machine for the first time in over a year, and my sewing machine got dusted off for the first time in 10 years. It felt so good to sew again. I have missed all of my creative endeavours and would love to do more. I probably need more hours in the day or even less sleep to accomplish this but I’m going to try.
During the week, when we were buying our crafting supplies, I picked up a miniature cross stitch that drew my eye. I’m hoping that I will be able to find time to complete it, knowing that I can plug my earphones in and read while I stitch.
Bookish things:
January, so far, has been a fantastic month of reading. There is still a few more days to go and I have already surpassed my monthly reading goal of 7 books, adding three more books this week.
- The Electricity of Every Living Thing by Katherine May
- Powerful by Maisie Hill
- Boy with Wings by Mark Mustian
Two non-fiction books and my first ARC for the year.
I’m still reading Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage, having put it aside to read Boy with Wings. I’ve picked up both a new audiobook – Hex Appeal by Kate Johnson and a much wished for ARC – Say You’ll Remember me by Abby Jimenez.
Bookish Challenges:
2025 Goodreads Reading Challenge: 9/75 books
Audiobook Challenge: 5/50 audiobooks
Non Fiction Reader Challenge: 1/12 books
And that’s my bookish week. How was yours?
