Happy Sunday bookish peeps!
I’m actually writing this in advance because honestly, who knows how I’ll feel tomorrow and whether I’ll be up for blogging.
Even while I am in full recovery mode, I have been getting some reading done. Mostly though I’ve just been doom scrolling and watching TV in between naps. I’ve spent a lot of time laying around, overthinking, and creating lists of things in my head.
Bookish things:
Over the last 2 weeks, I’ve managed to read 3 books and a novella, bringing my monthly reading total up to seven books. I read:
- Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney (Audiobook) – OMG that plot twist! Almost my first 5 star read of the year. ALMOST!
- It’s A Love Story by Annabel Monaghan (ARC) – Read it if you haven’t yet. Some of the loveliest characters I have come across. I want to be a part of that family… + IT IS A LOVE STORY!
- In The Woods by B K Borison (Paperback) – The second book in the Lovelight Series, was predictable but wonderful. Loved seeing neurodivergence representation in the MMC.
- The Fall Risk by Abby Jimenez (E-book) – being a novella, it was a super quick and cute read.

I’m currently reading Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall, The Banned Books Club by Brenda Novak and Best, First, Last by Amy T Matthews.
Bookish Challenges:
2025 Goodreads Reading Challenge: 24/75 books
Audiobook Challenge: 12/50 audiobooks
Non Fiction Reader Challenge: 2/12 books
And that’s my bookish week. How was yours?

Resting is good! Our Goodreads goal and status are pretty close. I’m at 21 of 72 books. I only have two audiobooks finished though. Happy reading!
