WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. A weekly meme where all you have to do is answers the following three W’s:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading:

Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall – this is my current audiobook and I’m about halfway through. I have, however, slowed up on listening to it while I’m not able to drive to and from work, preferring to spend my recovery reading physical books.

Mr Wrong Number by Lynn Painter – I’ll be honest, I accidently read book 2 first and now I’m reading book 1. Not my fault, they came in a two for one book but in the wrong order, and I didn’t notice till I’d finished the first book.

I’m only a few chapters in, but now that I know what to expect from the author, I’m so excited to be reading this.

Recently finished:

The Banned Books Club by Brenda Novak (paperback) – ★★★★ – This book had a lot going on and none of it was about banned books. That said it was completely captivating. Delving into many topics – sexual abuse, domestic violence, trauma, caring for ailing parents, friendships and the difficulties associated with living in small towns – I would consider this book a contemporary family drama with just a hint of romance.

The Love Wager by Lynn Painter (paperback) – ★★★★ – A swoonworthy, friends to lovers romance with some of the best banter I have read in a long time. I was living for the chemistry between Jack and Hallie – from drunken one night stand to besties and wingman to ‘THE ONE’ – reading the book in almost one sitting.

What next?:

I’m getting through the books that I bought last week on sale, with only one left to read. So since I am still focusing on reading physical books I’ll probably pick The Fiance Dilemma by Elena Armas next.

What are your 3 Ws?

Feel free to share your link in the comments, I’d love to see what you’re reading.
