Auto-buy Authors

The last few months have seen most of my auto-buy authors releasing new novels and I have been here for it.

I don’t have a lot of auto-buy authors but the ones I do have I am religious about reading. You could call them my ‘special interest’.

Some have only recently become auto-buy while others I have loved since I started blogging.

Either way I would happily read these ladies shopping lists.

Emily Henry

Emily Henry is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Book Lovers, People We Meet on Vacation and Beach Read. Her latest novel, Great Big Beautiful Life was published 22nd April 2025 and is sitting waiting for me to listen to on audiobook. Although I’m busting to read it, I will probably wait till I am back on the road and back to work.

Abby Jimenez

Abby Jimenez is #1 New York Times best selling author of Just for the Summer, and recipient of the 2022 Minnesota Book Award for her novel Life’s Too Short. Her book Yours Truly was the first romance novel in the history of Book of the Month to win the coveted Dolly Award for Book of the Year. Abby loves a good romance, coffee, doglets, and not leaving the house. Her latest novel, Say You’ll Remember Me was published 1st April 2025. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the publisher and I loved it…of course. My review can be read here.

Lyla Sage

Lyla Sage lives in the Wild West with her loyal companion, a sweet, old, blind rescue pitbull. She writes romance that feels like her favourite things: sunshine and big blue skies. When she’s not writing, she’s reading. Her latest novel, Wild and Wrangled is the last book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series and was published 15th April 2025. I read this in one sitting, on the day after it’s release and wholeheartedly loved it.

B K Borison

New York Times, Sunday Times, and USA Today Bestselling author B.K. Borison is the author of cosy, contemporary romances featuring emotionally vulnerable characters and swoon-worthy settings. When she’s not daydreaming about fictional characters doing fictional things, she’s at home with her family, more than likely buying books she doesn’t have room for. Her latest novel, First Time Caller was published 11 February 2025. As a new-to-me autobuy author, I picked this book up only recently, after reading the Lovelight series and I hope to have it finished tonight. 150 pages to go…

Beth O’Leary

Beth studied English at university before going into children’s publishing. She lives as close to the countryside as she can get while still being within reach of London, and wrote her first novel, The Flatshare, on her train journey to and from work. You’ll usually find her curled up with a book, a cup of tea, and several woolly jumpers (whatever the weather). Her latest novel Swept Away was published 1st April 2025 and is on the top of my TBR pile.

Who are your auto-buy authors? Is there anyone you would recommend?

  1. B. K. Borrison is also one of my auto-buy authors. I love her!!

Can you believe I’ve never read an Abby Jimenez book? As someone who loves the romance genre, I feel like I need to get on that ASAP

    1. There are so many authors that I’m just starting to try now that I’m reading a lot more romances but Abby Jimenez was the one who got me into romance in the first place. I hope you give one of her books a try and love them as much as I do.
