WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. A weekly meme where all you have to do is answers the following three W’s:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading:

The Baby Dragon Cafe by A T Qureshi – A quick pick up at our local department store. I’m about two-thirds into it and it’s just okay, but the MMC’s baby dragon is a bit cute…like a toddler with no emotional regulation.

The Summer of Yes by Courtney Walsh – My latest audiobook. I didn’t love it when I first started listening to it – that could have had something to do with the narration and being on double speed – but about two-thirds in, it’s just got good.

Wild Love by Elsie Silver – Haven’t picked this book up at all this week but I will get back to it by the weekend.

Recently finished:

Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry – ★★★★ – Not my favourite Emily Henry novel but I still enjoyed it. The banter and the romance were exactly what I’ve come to expect from this author. However, unlike her other novels, there was a whole other storyline which linked the two MCs but also felt separate. It was like reading two novels at once – both good stories separately, but detracted from one another when they were together and losing some of the swoon that I was hoping for.

The Year That Changed Us by Helen Rolfe – ★★ – Probably should have deleted this one from my backlist instead of reading it. I wanted to DNF a couple of times but pushed through so that I could check it off the list. Now it’s my first 2 star read of the year.

What next?:

I probably need to read Everything’s Coming Up Rosie by Courtney Walsh as an an ARC before it is published in June.

What are your 3 Ws?

Feel free to share your link in the comments, I’d love to see what you’re reading.
