The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Beginning on a Friday and ending on the following Thursday, each hop has a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The purpose of the hop is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week’s prompt is: Have you ever ventured out of your preferred genres? If so, were you surprised you enjoyed the book?
I find I tend to stick to genres that I know and love, such as romance, however recently I have begun to branch out, enjoying the occasional cosy (and not-so cosy) mystery. I have loved both books in the Vacation Mysteries Series by Catherine Mack and have begun to read the Finlay Donovan series. I find myself adding more of this type of book to my TBR and eagerly anticipating many new releases still to come. I love being able to mix it up a bit and am sure I will continue to try new books and new genres, finding new favourites along the way.
