Happy Sunday bookish peeps!
My Weekly Bookish Wrap Up is linked with the Sunday Salon and the Sunday Post.
The Sunday Salon is a meme hosted by Readerbuzz and is a place to link up and share what you have been doing during the week. It’s also a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there. While the Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and is a chance to share news. It’s a post to recap the past week on your blog and share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead.

Non-bookish things:
Happy first Sunday in July…oh my goodness. I know we all say it, but I can’t believe we are halfway through the year already. I swear the older I get, the faster the time goes.
This week has been beautiful weatherwise and much more busy than usual. On Tuesday I stayed back at work to completely clean and rearrange the indoor learning environment, something I have been wanting to do since the beginning of the year. I’m so happy with how it turned out and am enjoying basking in the praise of work colleagues when they come into the room. I love creating beautiful spaces, in the nursery and at home, so much. I often wonder if I should change careers and go into something with more of a design element in it.
Also this week, my son headed off on his next overseas adventure, stopping with a friend in Korea for a week before heading to Europe. I’m a little less rattled this time than previous adventures. I guess I’m getting used to him travelling now. This will be his third time in Korea but only his first in Europe.
Yesterday, I had a brekkie catch-up with my sisters. We met up at our local food court and sat, chatting, for a few hours before having a little bit of a book shop together. I got to spend the book voucher the kids bought me for Mother’s Day, purchasing two books and a cute bookmark.
Slow Cooker Sunday
Recently I’ve been breaking away from our usual ‘meat and 3 veg’ type meals, trying new recipes and flavours. I’ve purchased some new kitchen small appliances, replacing my old slow cooker with a newer one, renewing my interest in cooking.
Every Sunday, as the weather has grown colder, I’ve been making something hearty and delicious in the slow cooker, experimenting with dishes I have never made before. Previously, I’ve made Apricot Chicken, Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup and today I’m making Coconut Chicken Curry. The house smells amazing and I can’t wait till dinner time.
Bookish things:
Last week, was surprisingly productive reading wise. I listened to the second book of the Finlay Donovan series, read an ARC and finally finished my bedside paperback. This means I head into next week with a clean reading slate, ready to pick up whatever book strikes me as interesting in the moment. It’s a wonderful feeling!

Bookish Challenges:
I’m doing really well on most of my challenges with the exception of the Non Fiction Reader Challenge. I am in a place where I currently have no desire to read non-fiction, preferring to sink into a romance or a cosy mystery.
2025 Goodreads Reading Challenge: 69/75 books (92%)
Audiobook Challenge: 34/50 audiobooks (68%)
Non Fiction Reader Challenge: 5/12 books (42%)
#20BooksofSummer2025: 5/20 (25%)
And that’s my bookish week. How was yours?
