Happy August everyone! This month is my birthday month and even though I’m getting older I still get excited. We have planned a little weekend away at the end of the month to celebrate me turning 52 and hopefully we’ll be able to visit some new-to-me bookstores along the way. As is tradition for my birthday, I’m sure hubby will let me run amok in a bookstore or two, treating myself.
Last month, I completed my Goodreads Reading Challenge of 75 books and am now on my way to my first year of reading 100 books (a long-held dream). I’ve read 78 books so far and expect to reach my new target by October. Then I’ll just see what happens….
I read 12 books in July, including an elusive 5 star read by a favourite author, with a good combination of audio, paperbacks and ARCs.
