Happy Sunday bookish peeps!
My Weekly Bookish Wrap Up is linked with the Sunday Salon and the Sunday Post.
The Sunday Salon is a meme hosted by Readerbuzz and is a place to link up and share what you have been doing during the week. It’s also a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there. While the Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and is a chance to share news. It’s a post to recap the past week on your blog and share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead.

Non-bookish things:
It’s been a super quiet week with nothing really happening. Lots of work, some organising of the linen press and some Christmas prep with the purchase of a new tree. Yesterday we went to the markets and had a wander around in the sun and I caught up with my daughter and my fur grandbaby at the park. Today i’m at home doing a little cleaning while watching the Supercars at Bathurst on TV. A kind of tradition since I was young and watching with my dad.
Bookish things:
I’ve listened to two audible originals by authors I already enjoy – The Return of Ruby Darling by Leeanne Slade and Love at First Psych by Cara Bastone. Both were wonderful reads. It took me a little bit to get into Love at First Psych as I was initially put off by the narration (particularly the MMC) but I ended up really enjoying the way it was ‘acted out’. The romance was pretty cute and the ending satisfying. The Return of Ruby Darling felt a bit more grown up as a romance with each of the characters dealing with issues in their own lives but still coming together to support each other. It was definitely less cutesy but out of the two it was the one I preferred.

This week I have a variety of books on the go – a self-helpy title from Mel Robbins, a cowboy romance/porn and an ARC. I’ve downloaded The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins on audio to read alongside my actual physical note taking copy. I’m excited to be finally picking this book up as it has been on my table since it was first released. I hope it lives up to expectations.

I had my headphones on all afternoon to drown out the sound of my husband watching Bathurst.

Haha, the cowboy romance/porn description 🤣 That’s a great mix of titles and I hope they keep you all interested! I’m curious about that Mel Robbins book cos I feel like it got really popular a couple months ago and then I stopped hearing about it completely. Also, The Return of Ruby Darling sounds like an interesting read and I love that cover. I’m going to have to check it out 🙂 Have a great week ahead!

It definitely did get popular for a while. People were getting Let Them tattooed on themselves…it was a whole thing. A whole thing I won’t be doing but I am finding the book interesting so far. Mel Robbins can tell a good story…and there’s been a few chuckles.
Ruby Darling is well worth the listen. I hope you enjoy it.
Happy reading!
