Weekly Bookish Wrap Up: 26th October 2025

Happy Sunday bookish peeps!

My Weekly Bookish Wrap Up is linked with the Sunday Salon and the Sunday Post.

The Sunday Salon is a meme hosted by Readerbuzz and is a place to link up and share what you have been doing during the week. It’s also a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there. While the Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and is a chance to share news. It’s a post to recap the past week on your blog and share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead.

Non-bookish things:

I went to the movies for the first time in, what feels like, years. Normally I stream shows to watch, binging full seasons at a time but I rarely watch movies at all, let alone head out to do it. I went with my sister to see Regretting You, based on the novel by Colleen Hoover. This isn’t a book I’ve read but my sister tells me the film was very much the same as the book, which is always nice. While I purposely didn’t read the book before seeing the movie, she re-read it just two days before.

Bookish things:

Firstly, I did it!!! I read 100 books this year (so far). I’ve had this goal for ages now and have come close twice but now I’ve done it.

I finished reading The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins and while I’m not going to get ‘let them’ tattooed on my body, it did leave a lasting impression. I really enjoy listening to Mel speak because she can laugh at herself; she’s not afraid to own her mis-steps and failures; and she wants to share what she has learned.

I also finished reading Dust Storm by Maggie Gates and it was so good. I will definitely be reading the rest of the Griffith Brothers series and will be adding them to my physical book collection.

On audiobook I listened to Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth, an author whose books I can always rely on to be unputdownable. This book was no exception, I loved it!

This week I have picked up Soul Searching by Lyla Sage, a book I’ve been waiting for since it was announced. And I’m listening to Story of my Life by Lucy Score on audio, which is actually laugh out loud funny, something I wasn’t expecting.

Bookish Challenges:

2025 Goodreads Reading Challenge: 101/75 books (135%)

Audiobook Challenge: 56/50 audiobooks (112%)

Non Fiction Reader Challenge: 11/12 books (92%)

And that’s my bookish week. How was yours?
