Monthly Bookish Wrap Up – February 2026

Happy first day of March bookish peeps!

Today I’m just going to get straight into it and share how my reading went in February. I had another slower reading month but still managed to read 7 books. Two books were novellas that I listened to so that absolutely helped to keep my numbers somewhat close to my monthly reading goal but will leave my page numbers drastically lacking.

Books read:

  • Accidentally Yours by Christina Lauren – ★★★★
  • Time Will Tell by Hannah Bonam-Young – ★★★★
  • Slow Burn by Ali Rosen – ★★★★
  • You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay – ★★
  • Handle with Care by Marybeth Mayhew Whalen (ARC) – ★★★★
  • Women Like Us by Amanda Prowse – ★★★
  • Life as Planned by Amanda Prowse – ★★★★

Pages read: 1912 pages

Most read genre: Romance

Most read format: Audiobook

Favourite read: Life as Planned by Amanda Prowse – the latest novel by an author I always enjoy.

For identical twins Remy and Ashleigh, everything changes with one childhood decision. A simple act of love that unwittingly alters the paths they will both walk—an act of love that will echo through decades…

As the years unfold, their lives take dramatically different courses. Ashleigh soars through a glittering London career with the perfect house and family, but beneath her success lies a gnawing her whole life is built on a lie. Meanwhile, Remy stays close to home, finding joy in simple pleasures, yet forever feeling the weight of being ‘the other twin’—the one who didn’t shine.

Both sisters long for the uncomplicated closeness they once shared, but can they find their way back to each other? And after a lifetime shaped by that single childhood choice, is it too late to become the people they were meant to be?

Least favourite read: You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay – this is the 40th anniversary edition of a book I remember my mum loving when it was first released. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to past hype and I felt some of the beliefs in it were ridiculous and hurtful. While some of the affirmations and beliefs might be relevant still, the book as a whole should definitely have been reviewed and changed to suit the times that we live in. I rarely throw a book away but I won’t be perpetuating theses harmful beliefs by donating this book to anyone…sorry Louise Hay…I know you have a massive following but you’re too out of touch with the real world for me to pass onto other readers.
