Here’s what I’m hoping is a quick but fun tag that I found on Emma’s gorgeous blog The Bookworm Girl.
Here goes:
E-book or physical book? Physical…was there any doubt?
Paperback or hardcover? Paperback always.
Online or in-store book shopping? Definitely in-store….oh how I miss bookstores during this pandemic.
Trilogy or series? Neither.
Heroes or villains? Heroes, but especially reluctant or accidental ones.
A book you want everyone to read: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern….still my favourite book.
Recommend an underrated book: Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows by Balli Kaur Jaswal…much more than meets the eye.
The last book you read: The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
The last book you bought: The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa
Weirdest things you’ve used as a bookmark: Receipt, post-it note, clothing tag, scrapbooking paper, torn piece of notepad paper, a pencil, my phone.
Used books – yes or no: No thanks….crumbs, finger-marks, germs….I’ll skip that thanks.
Top 3 favourite genres:
- Contemporary
- Women’s fiction – chick-lit
- Romance
Borrow or buy? Buy.
Characters or plot? Characters.
Long or short books? Short…ish…..to match my attention span.
Long or short chapters? Short…ish….so I feel like I’m completing the book faster.
Name the first 3 books you think of:
- Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (I don’t know why….I’ve never read it)
- The Humans by Matt Haig (because I just saw it recommended and now I want to read it)
- The Muse by Jessie Burton (because I just started reading it)
Books that make you laugh or cry? I need laughter atm with the world as it is.
Our world or fictional worlds? Ours….I need to be able to relate to what’s going on.
Audiobooks – yes or no? Definitely YES!!
Do you ever judge a book by it’s cover? All the time….yes I know it’s wrong.
Book to movie or book to TV? Book to movie, I’m more inclined to watch a movie because I can do it in a sitting. I don’t have the staying power to watch a whole TV series.
A movie or TV show you preferred to it’s book? None – never happened.
Series or standalones? Standalones every time.
How would you answer these?
Create your own Rapid Fire Book Tag post and don’t forget to link back so I can read your answers.
The Travelling Cat Chronicles looks so good! Great tag! 🙂
