Last year I read 202% of my Goodreads Reading Goal, reading 81/40 books. This year I plan on setting a higher goal of 60 books while also concentrating on the quality of the books being read. This year I will not be afraid to DNF books that I’m not finding interesting, enjoyable or worthwhile. Hopefully than means that any books completed for this year’s challenge will be at least 3 ★ or above.
I’m hoping to concentrate more on fiction and less on non-fiction, keeping the joy of reading alive. Last year I got bogged down in too many “self-help” books that were repetitive and unfortunately not that helpful. So this year I want to read for the love of it! To feel all the feels and then some.
As always I am open to recommendations and will be searching your blog posts for books that I can add to my TBR. Feel free to reach out if you think of a book that I might like.
Have you set a Goodreads Reading Challenge Goal yet?
I always set a low goal every year. My anxious self could never forgive if i fail to meet my goal so 10 books per year is enough. I usually go beyond 10 anyway so i think I’m good

Sounds like self-care to me. I hope you have a wonderful year of reading.
