Goodreads Monday: The Beforelife of Eliza Valentine by Laura Pearson

Goodreads Monday is a really simple weekly meme, hosted by new host Budget Tales Book Blog, where you choose a book at random from your Goodreads TBR and explain why you want to read it. This meme is also an opportunity to share any progress you have made on your current books, Goodreads Reading Challenge or anything else Goodreads related.

This week’s pick is: The Beforelife of Eliza Valentine by Laura Pearson

There are four of us: Samuel, Lucy, Thomas, and me – Eliza.

We came into being the day Becca Valentine was born. We’ve been by her side ever since. What she doesn’t know yet, is that one day she might become our mother.

Then two men come into her life. Both seeking her heart. And then we realise: everything rests on Becca’s love story. Because one of the men is Lucy and Thomas’s father. And the other is mine and Samuel’s. And there’s simply no way we can all be born.

Why do I want to read it?:

This is the latest release from author Laura Pearson who is a recent favourite of mine and whose backlist I am making my way through. Released this month, I am excited to get my hands on it in the near future.

This week’s reading progress:

I only read one book last week so I’m hoping to do much better this week. I am wholeheartedly involved in listening to Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty and will spend this week following along in my car every chance I get. I also plan on carrying a physical book with me this week, to read during my lunch breaks – something that I need to do more often.
