Monthly Bookish Wrap Up – February 2025

Happy Sunday bookish peeps! Hope you have all been well and enjoying wonderfully bookish lives.

I have been completely missing in action for the month of February, having contracted something chest infectiony on the Disney Cruise I went on for my daughter’s 22nd birthday. The cruise was an amazing experience – my first ever cruise and Minnie Mouse was there so….happy days. We had the best time together, chasing the characters down for photo ops, eating amazing meals and just hanging out but then I came home, started coughing and three weeks later I’m still coughing.

I’ve been back to work, coming home exhausted each day and flaking on the couch.

There’s been hardly any reading happening, although somehow I did manage to read 6 books this month, mostly due to the ease of audiobook listening in the car.

Books read:

  • Hex and the City by Kate Johnson (audiobook) – ★★★
  • Food for Menopause by Linia Patel (non-fiction, paperback) – ★★★
  • Hex and Hexability by Kate Johnson (audiobook) – ★★★★
  • House + Love = Home by Jenny Marrs (hardcover) – ★★★★
  • We Are The Stars by Gina Chick (audiobook) – ★★★★
  • Margo’s Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe (audiobook) – ★★★★

Pages read: 2252 pages

Most read genre: Non-fiction

Most read format: Audiobook

Favourite read: Margo’s Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe

Least favourite read: Food for Menopause by Dr Linia Patel

Goodreads Reading Challenge: 18/75 (24%)

During March I plan on easing myself back into blogging slowly. I have surgery coming up in two weeks time and I’ll be back to flaking on the couch with a four – six week recovery to look forward to. Blogging and reading will once again probably take a backseat but hopefully not to the point where I disappear again.

  1. I’m sorry you got sick because of the cruise but glad you had such a good time. The nonfiction books you read caught my eye but I see Food for Menopause was your least favorite. I hope your surgery goes well!
