Monthly Bookish Wrap Up – March 2025

Once again, I have mostly been missing in action this month, having had my surgery. I’ve mostly spent my days watching renovation shows, documentaries and the occasional series in between naps with the furbabies who haven’t left my side.

My husband was home for the first two weeks, making sure I didn’t overextend myself. I, of course, was a terrible patient because I struggle to give up control of my world – not being able to cook, clean and organise stuff. He’s probably happy to be back at work now…lol….but I know he is worried about what I’m getting up to while I’m unsupervised. Which is fair to be honest.

Having older children has been wonderful, not having to take care of others but being taken care of while I’m recovering. Both of my children have been over this week – my daughter hanging out at home with me for a movie day and my son taking me to a local cafe for lunch. Absolute highlights of my month, not only because they are my kids but because they are the loveliest humans I know.

In between shows TV and naps, I have managed to do a fair amount of reading, finishing 10 books this month and making a dent in my physical TBR pile.

Books read:

  • Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage (paperback) – ★★★★
  • We All Live Here by Jojo Moyes (audiobook) – ★★★★
  • Say you’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez (ARC) – ★★★★
  • The Fall Risk by Abby Jimenez (e-book) – ★★★★
  • Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney (audiobook) – ★★★★
  • It’s A Love Story by Annabel Monaghan (ARC) – ★★★★
  • In The Weeds by B K Borison (paperback) – ★★★★

  • Mr Wrong Number by Lynn Painter (paperback) – ★★★★

Pages read: 3298 pages

Most read genre: Romance

Most read format: Paperback

Favourite read: Every single book this month was a four star book so it’s a little difficult to narrow it down, but if I had to choose I think either of the novels by Lynn Painter would be my favourites.

Least favourite read: The Banned Books Club by Brenda Novak, only because I expected it to have more ‘books’ in it.

Goodreads Reading Challenge: 28/75 (37%)
