The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Beginning on a Friday and ending on the following Thursday, each hop has a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The purpose of the hop is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week’s prompt is: What are some of your favourite books to re-read?
It is very rare for me to re-read a book, no matter how much I enjoyed it – there are just too many other books that I want to read – with childhood classics being the only exception. I have, and will again…probably…re-read the books that I truly loved growing up – Little Women, The Secret Garden and Anne of Green Gables.
As for more recent books that I have loved, I can’t thing of any that I would re-read. There are some that I would love to read for the first time again but that is something entirely different.

I always say that I want to re-read a book but very seldom got around to doing it over the years. That’s changed slightly in the past year or so and I’ve managed to read a couple of books that I remember loving but almost completely forgot about, so that was great. Two books that I do re-read bits of very often are Austen’s Pride & Prejudice and Persuasion. Love them! 💜

It’s good that you have books that you can dip in and out of as the mood arises but I don’t think I have read either of those…I’m not really a classics reader. Maybe one day I’ll challenge myself to read beyond this particular comfort zone.
