Happy Sunday bookish peeps!
My Weekly Bookish Wrap Up is linked with the Sunday Salon and the Sunday Post.
The Sunday Salon is a meme hosted by Readerbuzz and is a place to link up and share what you have been doing during the week. It’s also a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there. While the Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and is a chance to share news. It’s a post to recap the past week on your blog and share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead.

Non-bookish things:
For ages I’ve been saying that I want to do more cooking and not just the basics for dinner after work. I’ve been wanting to try new recipes and bake homemade treats for during the week, instead of relying on pre-packaged snacks from the supermarket. And so, today was my first Slow Cooking Sunday. I made a batch of apple, sultana and cinnamon muffins, some Weetbix bliss balls and I have an apricot chicken in the slow cooker, smelling delicious.
Yesterday, hubby and I went for a test drive of the new car he has been wanting now for over a year. We filled out all of the paperwork and hope to be able to pick it up next weekend. We’re trading in his old car for something more comfortable with better fuel economy, and want to get it done before rego is due. Fingers crossed.
We spent Saturday night completely enthralled in Sirens on Netflix. It was a quick but captivating binge – only 5 episodes – with a twist and we loved it.
Bookish things:
This week I listened to No One Was Supposed to Die at this Wedding by Catherine Mack, enjoying it as much as the first book of the series. It’s such an unusual book, quirkily narrated, and I find myself looking forward to the next instalment.
I started my ARC for Slow Burn Summer by Josie Silver and was immediately hooked. I’m hoping to finish it this week, if I don’t, once again, get caught up in my latest audiobook – Finlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano.
Bookish Challenges:
2025 Goodreads Reading Challenge: 59/75 books (79%)
Audiobook Challenge: 26/50 audiobooks (52%)
Non Fiction Reader Challenge: 5/12 books (42%)
And that’s my bookish week. How was yours?

I love your format for these posts and I think we have similar taste in books. I’ve read this first couple of books in Finlay’s series and look forward to your thoughts on it as well as Slow Burn Summer. Have a great rest of your weekend.

Thanks Jodie. I often see you talking about books that I have on my TBR and agree that our tastes are similar. I’ve just finished the first Finlay Donovan book and loved it. I’m hoping the rest of the books are just as good.
