Top Ten Tuesday: Countries I want to visit IRL (not just in books)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s TTT topic is a non-bookish freebie so I want to share the Countries I want to visit IRL (not just in books).

There are, for sure, way more than 10 places I want to visit in real life but as this is Top Ten Tuesday I’m only going to list the first ten that come to mind. I haven’t done a great deal of travel and most of what I’ve done has been in my own country of Australia. I’ve travelled up and down the east coast and even crossed over to Tasmania, but I am yet to head west. It’s a trip that’s definitely on my bucket list but I’d also love to be able to head overseas again.

I’ve travelled overseas twice – once to Thailand for my honeymoon and the other time we took my daughter to Hawaii. Both trips were memorable experiences that I’d love to do again but there are so many other places I’d love to visit too.

Countries I want to visit IRL (not just in books):

  • Vietnam
  • Singapore
  • Japan
  • Spain
  • Portugal
  • Italy
  • Greece
  • New Zealand
  • Canada
  • Iceland

Are any of these countries on your bucket list? Or have you already been to any of these?

  1. Great list! Iceland, Canada and New Zealand are on my bucket list as well. All those years that I lived in Australia (for boarding school and uni) and I’m gutted I never crossed over to Tassie or NZ! 🫣 To be fair, I was a poor college kid but I’m sad that was not my priority back then, haha. I hope you get to visit all these places one day!
