Monthly Bookish Wrap Up – August/September 2025

I’m not sure where the past couple of months went but I know I spent no time blogging and I barely picked up a book. I went away for my birthday on the last weekend of August and so didn’t get a chance to post, then all book related things fell off my radar. This is super ADHD of me and shouldn’t come as a surprise, however it always does. When I realised I hadn’t posted for 5-6 weeks, I went down a motivation/doubt/guilt spiral that I am only just now dragging myself out of. All I can say is thank goodness for audiobooks in the car that have still kept my reading going when I didn’t have the energy to lift an actual book.

Today I’m here to share the books I did manage to read over the last two months and try to get some of my mojo back. It’s that old thing of forcing yourself to do something until you remember how much joy it brings you and it becomes automatic again.
