A little lookity into other areas of my life… besides books.
What I’m listening to:
Honestly, this doesn’t change all that regularly. My particular brand of neurodivergence means that I will listen to the same artist on repeat forever – until I know each song inside out and upside down. Then once I feel like I know the songs, they become my go to – for comfort, for kitchen dancing, for blasting as I drive.
I have always been this way. Growing up and when my children were young, I listened to certain artists over and over, finding something I loved and sticking to it.
Now as I’m older and less focused on music, I rely on my daughter to share her music with me, so a lot of my music taste comes from what she likes. A total switch from when she was growing up and it was my music choices that she gravitated to.
What I’m watching:
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives – I watched the first season ages ago and then completely forgot about the show until a friend reminded me. I finally got caught up on the rest of the series and I’m hoping they release another season soon.
High Potential – A bingeworthy crime comedy that I found while just randomly scrolling through Disney +. It reminds me a little bit of The Mentalist, which I loved, and so both hubby and I are bingeing it.
What I’m creating:
My crocheted blanket is together with only the loose threads to stitch in. I can’t wait to see it all finished and tidied up. It took a lot longer than I thought it would but I’m glad that I stuck with it.

I’m hoping to create some smaller projects next before psyching myself up to do another blanket – this time for my mum.
The weather all through April has been perfect for establishing our gardens and starting the process of growing a lawn – something I have been looking forward to since we moved in, almost 3 years ago. It’s lovely to come home in the evenings and water the garden, literally watching the grass grow.
