Non-bookish things:

It has been a while since I have wrapped up my week here on the blog. Time has been getting away from me lately and I’ve been a little run down. I’ve been spending a lot of time at home and have rediscovered my love for colouring in. My lovely hubby bought me a few colouring books to keep me occupied while I was unwell and since then I’ve gone down a rabbit hole, watching colouring videos and tutorials. I’ve started following artists on all my social media accounts and begun to research all kinds of arty things. It has been years since I’ve been creative in a paper and colour kind of way and I have missed it.

Uni has resumed and so I have halfheartedly gone back to studying. I’m still torn about whether or not I want to carry on with my degree or if I want to focus more on doing the things I love, like this blog, reading, crocheting and creating. There are just not enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do.

Bookish things:

Since my last weekly wrap up I’ve read five books and only one of them a romance. I have enjoyed reading beyond my favourite genre lately and have taken a chunk out of my TBR – an easy thing to do when I have less than 50 books on it.

This week I read Pictures of You by Emma Grey, a book that has been on my TBR since before it’s release. I was delighted to begin reading and find out it was set in my local area and in other places I know well. I also finished book #2 in the Lucky River Ranch series. It wasn’t quite as good as the book #1 but it was still very readable.

Wyatt and I have been best friends since second grade, and I’ve been in love with him for almost as long. But he’s as wild and untamed as a colt that can’t be broken—not to mention, totally out of my league with his good looks and heartbreaker reputation.

Then I get to thinking: since Wyatt is such an expert, why doesn’t he teach me the ropes of how to find a hookup? He begrudgingly agrees, and a little fake flirting suddenly leads to fake dating, which leads to real kissing, which leads to real…well, everything else.

And let me just say, the rumors are absolutely true.

Now, I want so badly to be Wyatt’s last rodeo. But I’m leaving town, and even if I wasn’t, I’m not sure Wyatt would ever change his playboy ways.

I know cowboys can’t be tamed. Apparently, neither can hearts…
