Happy Sunday bookish peeps!
My Weekly Bookish Wrap Up is linked with the Sunday Salon and the Sunday Post.
The Sunday Salon is a meme hosted by Readerbuzz and is a place to link up and share what you have been doing during the week. It’s also a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there. While the Sunday Post is a meme hosted by the Caffeinated Reviewer and is a chance to share news. It’s a post to recap the past week on your blog and share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead.
Non-bookish things:
This week was slightly better health-wise. I had an ultrasound and will get the results this week. Hopefully the results will give some answers and help with a direction for treatment.
I’ve been taking it incredibly easy when I am not at work, relaxing and reading. I started watching Off Campus after my sister recommended it and have continued to follow the Lindsay Clancy trial.
It’s my birthday month and I have been spoiled with choccies, flowers, books and dinners out. Next weekend I’m headed to Sydney for the weekend and plan on visiting the zoo …something I haven’t done in maybe 10 years… on my actual birthday.
Bookish things:
This week I’ve managed to mix up the order of the Knockemout series by Lucy Score because I was reading it in multiple formats. I accidentally finished book 3 on audio before getting into book 2 on my Kindle. So now, even though I know book 2 has a HEA (obviously) I have switched to audio for book 2 so I can listen to how it all came about.
I’m still reading Duke by Jessica Peterson but my kids bought me Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter by Heather Fawcett for my birthday and I had to start it the day I got it. So Duke has again been pushed aside.
Books read this week:

Things We Left Behind by Lucy Score – ★★★★★
There was only one woman who could set me free. But I would rather set myself on fire than ask Sloane Walton for anything.
Lucian Rollins is a lean, mean vengeance-seeking mogul. On a quest to erase his father’s mark on the family name, he spends every waking minute pulling strings and building an indestructible empire. The more money and power he amasses, the safer he is from threats.
Except when it comes to the feisty small-town librarian that keeps him up at night . . .
Sloane Walton is a spitfire determined to carry on her father’s quest for justice. She’ll do that just as soon as she figures out exactly what the man she hates did to – or for – her family. Bonded by an old, dark secret from the past and the dislike they now share for each other, Sloane trusts Lucian about as far as she can throw his designer-suited body.
When bickering accidentally turns to foreplay, these two find themselves not quite regretting their steamy one-night stand. Once those flames are fanned, it seems impossible to put them out again. But with Sloane ready to start a family and Lucian refusing to even consider the idea of marriage and kids, these enemies-to-lovers are stuck at an impasse.
Broken men break women. It’s what Lucian believes, what he’s witnessed, and he’s not going to take that chance with Sloane. He’d rather live a life of solitude than put her in danger. But he learns the hard way that leaving her means leaving her unprotected from other threats.
It’s the second time he’s ruthlessly cut her out of his life. There’s no way she’s going to give him a third chance. He’s just going to have to make one for himself.nd chance. And this time, she won’t waste it—because true love is always worth reviving.
